Packing for Bonnaroo isn't a last-minute job. Plan ahead and buy or borrow supplies that will keep you comfortable during four days in the Tennessee heat. Many online forums and printed papers create survival guides for Bonnaroo that feature the same-old supplies. Alabama's Huntsville Times just published a piece with a few tips for surviving music festivals, most specifically Bonnaroo and the Hang Out Fest. They had basic tips like, bring an extra tarp to cover your tent and block out the morning sun, and this site focuses more on fest style than on function.

What about things to bring to Bonnaroo that will make it easy to carry things (like money and your cell phone) and that are also stylish? Check out Wallets2Wear. These wrist bracelets store all your important things and are made for men and women. Tips like this are featured in How Do You Roo: A Survivor's Pocket Guide to Bonnaroo.

NOTE: The providers of each product featured in How Do You Roo: A Survivor's Pocket Guide to Bonnaroo did not contribute any financial or other means for their placement. Each item was recommended by past festival-goers and found independently through research. Enjoy the completely ad-free book here.

Music-lover and blogger "Sarah on the Go" has the right idea: She's hoping to hit up the Jack Daniel's Distillery on her way to Bonnaroo 2012. Just a half hour from the festival site, the distillery is one of the spots outlined in How Do You Roo, along with more places to cool off and hang out with friends after the fest. Tired of too much sun? How about underground hiking?

Road trips are expensive when you factor in fuel costs--but we need to fuel ourselves too. What's the best food to bring to Bonnaroo if you're road tripping? Peanut butter was a top choice for Rooers who were interviewed for How Do You Roo. Take advantage of the heat though - learn about baking cookies on your dashboard:

Don't forget: If camping isn't for you, there are VIP options at Bonnaroo, but it will cost you. VIP passes cost upwards of $1,300. If you're looking for cabin to rent near Manchester with 24-hour complimentary limo service to the festival ? How Do You Roo features all the information you need.

Bonnaroo has changed over the years, adding more specialty options to make the festival more comfortable, fun and green. Other music festivals around the country are changing too. Many urban music festivals are becoming popular since music lovers don't need to be concerned about traffic, tenting or mud. Check out the Wall Street Journal's piece about the music festival trend.

It's a big anniversary for the Beach Boys. Their 50th Anniversary Tour begins in the spring at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. No Country For New Nashville is posing the question, will the Beach Boys be at Bonnaroo 2012? Their recent post is pointing fingers at the Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and No Doubt.

No doubt the Beach Boys will be busy, maybe too busy for Bonnaroo? They will reunite with Brian Wilson and record a new album and their tour spans 50 cities. Hmmm, there are only 52 weeks in a year...

Ever wonder what purpose the Bonnaroo property serves the other 361 days out of the year? Recently the 2011 Warrior Dash was hosted there. With only about 10% of the crowds that the notorious summer music fest draws, it was...muddy. And there were Port-a-Potties. Hmmm...sound familiar?
